high maintenance partner

I would like to know if you ever had a high-maintenance gf or bf. This is the dilemma of my friend right now. He's having some problems because her model-girlfriend is very demanding of his time. She wants him to pick her up all the time from the house and drive her back in, even if the location where she wanted to be picked up from is very far (poor guy!)..but still, he's so devoted to her. Many times, she doesn't even give any regard to his attentiveness to her needs. I don't know if he really loves her but I'm quite sure he was obsessed with her at some point, and many people believe that she's only using him. Do you think I should just let him suffer from his stupidity or should I advise him some more?
