When I was 9 years old my Mom gave me a notebook with the suggestion of keeping a diary. I loved the idea, but only wrote two or three times that year. It wasn't until I was 13 that I started writing every day. Ever since then I have tried to keep a daily or at least weekly account of everything that happens that is worth mentioning, such as a conversation with a friend or a good movie I saw. Sometimes this takes the form of a well-written page or several pages, other times it is a sentence or a few key words to help me remember. I also have recently started keeping a journal of my dreams. Every morning I scribble down key words or short sentences about everything I dreamed that night, and later I fill in the details. I've experimented with various other types of journals such as a prayer journal I kept for several months, a roleplaying game journal, and a reading log. What types of journals have you used?
