Hypertension is a silent killer that manifests few symptoms, and the patient may be bl;issful unaware of its presence. But it goes on inflicting damaged to the blood vessels of important organs like the heart, brain, eyes and kidneys. ONly when these organs are affected due to loss of blood supply do the symptomes surface. By that time it would be to late to prevent damage done. It also needs to be stressed that except for a few cases in which hypertension is caused by some other disease, there are no curative measures available. Taking treatment for a few weeks or months with the hope of a permanent cure serves no useful purpose.
