Since I have been on My lot, I have realized that maybe I need to take the time to learn about some of the other religions that people have out of curiosity I guess more than anything. My husband has given me a book, So What's the Difference/ Fritz Ridenour, and I have started reading it, has alot of information. Can anyone else suggest books to help me Learn some of the other religions. I would very much appreciate it.

It will depend on how deep you want to get into the subject. When I first did my first personal studies on different religions, I bought several books but after a while I noticed that these books were written by authors who do not subscribe to that religion and are biased in their approach. It will be a good idea to start reading books in comparative religions then check the footnotes and references for the sources the author quoted. From there, we can get an information of what books there are that were written by people within the religion itself. I'm sure you will find a book in comparative religions in any local bookstore near you. Cheers! enjoy your readings.

Don't rule out your book store. There have been many times I've been looking for a particular book - if I give title and author they will check with their supplier. Yours might do the same.

I guess one good place to go is the library, and go to the religion or philosophy section. Keep your mind wide open, remember, true religion stimulates your thinking, it dosn't restrict it, and there's some truth in all religions. Your curiosity is a great thing, go with it and never stop. Enjoy!

You know I don't ever go to the public library, I do have a card, and I honestly never thought of it. Thank You!

I am a Christian and I belong to the Christian religion the doctrines or teachings of which are laid down in the Holy Bible. However, it is very difficult to be searching from the Holy Bible which are which and so I purposely published compilations to help people understand as the Holy Bible is complete but topics are like a jigsaw puzzle that once the parts are scattered, it is very difficult to arrange again the pieces to form whatever was originally there. For this purpose, I published ELEMENTS of SALVATION and The Right Way which are found at http://www.lulu.com/arseniajoaquin I am an author and translator of the Word of God from Greek to English and I have already published in addition to the two books abovementioned THE WILL New Testament (Greek to English), GENESIS & EXODUS (Greek to English), GOD, ORIGIN, TRANSFER into PERFECTION, GREEK-ENGLISH (Grammar & Vocabulary), WORDS in THE WILL New Testament, and others which I hope could help people understand the Word of God.

Can I ask you a question? Well here it goes, I have seen this post before on some of my other discussion's, and some of other's do you copy and paste this as a response to everything. I did ask for books, but on learning about other religions. Maybe I didn't say that in the post, I really thought that I did. I do understand the word of God, I read my bible, I just want to learn about other religions. Im sorry, I am not trying to be mean I just wondered if you read the discussion or if you cut and paste response's. Thanks for the post though.

Wow, you've got me thinking. To be honest I have never read any books on the subject so did a search on Yahoo. It was interesting what I found, not much. Our Sunday school class touched briefly on several different religions but not to the extent of needing a book. The strange thing I found in my search was that the first two sites that pulled on Yahoo were atheist - they don't believe in God but are writing books on comparing different religions.
