Israeli legal warranty on eye glasses

The frame of my wifes comparitively new eye glasses ( nine months old ) snapped without ill treatment.
I believe that under the Israeli current sale of good act
the retailer ( optician ) is liable to replace them without
charge as the item is less than one year old.
The optician denies legal liability.
Who is correct?
