Most of the teams after winning any major tournament celebrate their victory by openinga champagne bottle isn't it? many of us have seen this. What is the actual reason behind this? is it because champagne is the costliest drink and players also feel like showing otehrs how great their victory is by opening the costliest drink...what is it actually...anyone here?

Maybe that's because champagne is a traditional drink of winners and success. Its look, taste, price and the way it goes of the bottle make it a perfect drink for such events celebrations.

What do you mean by traditional drink by the way and what it has got to do with the victory celebrations? anyway's, i think it might be bacause of the cost factor associated with the drink and since it is the costliest drink, teams also feel their victory is worthier than anything.... Anyway's, thanks for responding
