How important is age in a relationship?

I think it is not that important as long as you're both not teenagers. What is important though is the maturity of both persons involved. Maturity in a sense that even if you are in your early 20's you are quite responsible; that you are able to honor commitments. Your being mature should also be able to bring positive values in your relationship that you are able to grow in wisdom and in love with one another. So when you enter in a relationship be sure you are mature enough to handle the responsibilities and commitments that come with it.

The importance of the ages of people involved in a relationship depend on the specific situation. One major one would be is one party involved is a minor and the other is an adult. That's when age is especially important and a relationship like that should never even begin. Also, while people are still young and still maturing, age can make a huge difference. Once someone is older, mature, and know where they are in their life, they may find someone of a completely different age that is in the same spot.

Age is important when it comes to marriage, whatever reasoning you give, this will affect the lives of both the parties. It even affects the aging of the couple. Otherwise, in a relationship, I am not too sure if it's that important at all, but I feel it should be.

The age difference shud not be more than 5 yrs...
