which do you prefer reading a book or a movie version of that book?

I almost always like the book beter except for the movie The Shining i liked the movie more than the book.

I typically do both. I will read the book before I watch the movie. I will then compare the two. Normally the book is better than the movie. I dont know why that is. Maybe it is just my opinion.
