Statistically according to insurance information it is suggested that female drivers are safer than male drivers. Please consider: 1. Is it because males give way to females on the road, at their own risk. 2. Do females drive slower and observe the laws. 3. Are there more females on the road than males.

Being a female and a bit bias, I do feel female make better drivers overall. However, there are exceptions to every rule. My Mom is known for hitting inanimate objects with her car. My Dad has not been in an accident that was his fault in over 30 years. In my house, I haven't had an accident in forever. My husband has managed to back into two people in the last 6 months. He also is the faster driver and the one that is not inclined to follow traffic rules.

Female drivers seem less aggressive. They're also not afraid to ask for directions.
