LOVE vs ARRANGE MARRIAGE

I would prefer to have an arranged marriage as I cant deny my mother's decision.

My mom picks out the most horrendous gifts for me ever. I can just imagine what she would choose for me in a husband! If she can't pick out a sweater I like... I married for love, and despite it's occasional ups and downs, I can't imagine it any other way. Marriage is about joining two people together for life, it isn't a business deal, and I don't believe it should be decided upon by anyone other than the bride and groom. I only know one person who was in an arranged marriage, and it failed miserably and violently. She is now happily married to a man she chose herself for love.
