If love is abundance of emotions, what then is it's antonym?

Love is not simply an abundance of emotion. If you define it that way, the antithesis will be lack of emotions. Other than that the antithesis of love is hate.

I disagree. Hate is passionate, it is a perversion, or warping of love. Hate is love turned against itself. It may be love for the way something was or love for one race above another, but hate involves love. Apathy, or diregard is love's opposite.

Semantics, hair splitting distinctions, perceptions are sure to abound when the subject matter is perceived differently. You disagree, of course you can. Cheers.

I don't think that's an accurate definition of love. Rather than an abundance of emotion, a better definition may be a genuine concern for the interests and well being of another. The other could be yourself, as in self love. Regardless, the antithesis of love is apathy - the utter lack of emotion or concern for the other.
