should my cousin have to pay or was he not wrong

I have a cousin who came to my house I live with my baby father my son 1 cat 5 days and lots of fish he came to our house and left the gate open not the first time he did this and was told repeatedly to close it to prevent the dogs from getting out our pit bull mixed got out and a car hit him we paid $30000Ja about $500us for him and had planed to bread her to make back our money now he has a broken leg and a is not able to bread because of womb damage my cousin does not want to pay for doctor bill or for the cost of the dog he said he did not hit the dog my baby father got upset and i paid for the doctor bill do you think he should have to paid for all cost.

I think that if was a moral person he would offer to pay, you could probably take him to small claims court.if you are comfortable doing this . This is a tough one I feel for you . Just even the thought of loosing my pet would kill me. I have seven Persian and Himalayan cats they are worth a lot of money. I never let them out of the house.

Yes! I do think he should pay. If he was told to keep the gate closed, He should have listened. If he had any respect, he would offer to pay for atleast half. I am sorry about your dog.

Of course he should pay, it's his negligence that caused the accident. Sounds like he has no conscience. If he doesn't have the money up front, he should offer a payment plan. I know if it were my cousin he could not come back with that attitude...think about it, he cost you money out of his own unthinking, uncaring actions.
