Hey! I'm kinda curious as to how many of you own writing books? What are some of your favorites? How many do you own? Silly me! First I started out collecting them while working at a bookstore for 4 years. Then I joined the writers digest book club. Before you know it I think and I'm guessing here but I have around 50 or more writing books! I want to organize them now that I have my own room, and then I can see them all. There are some I WANT to read and some I really love. And others I want to own. I really want to own but I havent gotten yet "Bird by Bird" (Lamott) and "Words Fail Me:" (O'Conner). One of my TOP TOP favorites is "The Writer's Book of Checklists" by Scott Edelstein. Its really interesting. Also I love the "100 Things Every Writer Should Know". I recently finally got "I'd Rather Be Writing" on amazon.com I TRY to keep up with the Writers Markets. I have the one for 2007, and 2006 but not I think 2005? My favorite kind of books are either ones on writing non-fiction or memoirs OR freelance writing since I want to learn the craft. I own "The Well Fed Writer" but want the second one. I gotta promise myself to READ the first one before I buy the second! I'm trying to freelance some work too. Anyways. I'm getting ahead of myself. What about you? Books? Wants? Dislikes?
