It's a Cliche!

A lot of things today are considered a cliche or cheesey because they have most likely been said or done by somebody previously. For instance, saying 'I love you profoundly' may not be taken seriously because its previous cliche history. Cliches are seeming to be more common on today's world. Will it get to the point that you cannot say, 'I'm going to the shops' without it sounding rediculous. The rising of cliche'd comments means that people are striving to be more original so this may be a good thing. What do you think? Are cliches just created by the human mind or do we need to move on and produce newer less cheesey comments and actions?
