Why chennai in India is growing well....?

I had some photos of the olden chennai take a look at that its all 100 years before.... but within this 100 years i found a lot of change in this city...Lot of places were there to live but today there is no place to live all the people are living in the ponds etc....Why this much change what is the reason.........?

hey comeon did u notice the change in population its in many folds....changes are the only permenant things...image how it would it be after another 100 yrs oofs couldn't even guess....with this burgeoning buildings i guess there'll be no place for us to move around unless we invent some flying stuff for everyone...but u know thses kind of things happen cant blame anything....chennai ofcourse is growing but is it growing well....
