Hindu religion is one of the oldest religion in the world. The religion embodies lot of rituals and customs and traditions. For starting of all new things in the life one has to invoke the blessing of the god. for which Hindus use the Kalasham which is nothing but a small vessel made of copper in which water is filled and on head of it a trimmed coconut is placed and also some vermillion is added. This kalasham considered to be very sacred during all ceremonies particularly in wedding ceremonies.
