first of all i have to say that i respect all religions and i am not against any of them including christianity.that said i also have to say that if anyones feelings are hurt by what i am about to discuss then i am truly sorry . anyway i had recently come across this book "the templar revelations" by Lynn Picknett and Clive Prince.Even for those of you who had read the da vinci code this book will come as a shock,i felt that way and i am sure that those of you who read this book will feel the same. i have to say that this book is not for any light reading and i have to say that unlike the da vinci code this book was not written solely for commercial reasons and is not fiction.it is non-fiction and whats more this book is written more like a college thesis paper, offering proof for everything that has been said. in short it is a thesis paper with proof and counter proof.i have to say that this book made a lot of revelations and unlike the davinci code and many other books this one offers hard proof which is not so easy to ignore.so my advice to you all is to read this book as soon as you can. coming to the contents itself, the book summarises the following *jesus was not a jew *simon the magnus was the true inheritor and not jesus *john the baptist was jesus equal and not his subordinate *john was conviniently killed in prison and circumstanial evidence points to the followers of jesus *the sermon on the mount did not take place the way we imagined it to be so *jesus did not die on the cross *mary magadelene was a partner of jesus ,a concubine who was his equal and more.today she is still revered highly in france ref:black maddona *jesus learnt his religion from egypt the school of isis and osiris *the chruch abolished the gnostic gospels as they wanted peters branch to rule supreme *but inspite of all that the vatican did to make the gnostic gospels disappear, the are still present today in out cultures in various forms *the greatest coverup has been performed by none other than the vatican *the priory of sion is keeping to a deadline to show the world its proof and the deadline is fast approaching near! all the above mentioned facts are given with proof in this book.i had been bought up in a convent and have to say that althouugh i am not a christian per se i have had difficulty in coming to adjust and see what is true and what is false. if the book is right then our whole culture which is based on roman christian principles could all be wrong.anyway i also have to point out that as humans we all seek knowledge so the question to you all mylottians is who amonst you are all brave enough to take this quest for "Gnosticism"[KNOWLEDGE]. are we truly brave enough to confront facts, accept doubts and if possible uncover the greatest coverup in human history for the last 2000 years! of course ,some of you will outright hate me for putting up this discussion here but i feel that since this bok has raised serious doubts in me i wanted to share it along with the rest of you and have a RATIONAL DISCUSSION.[no hate respopnses please]. alos just after this book was published,"the judas gospel" was found.and it may seem that the judas gospel may be more right than wrong-that judas betrayed jesus on the instructions of jesus-the lost gospel of judas as well as thios book support that! anyway i look forward to hearing from all of you on this matter!until then,i do smell a lot of smoke,so the question is wheres the fire? http://www.theseekerbooks.com/articles/TemplarRev.htm http://www.amazon.com/Templar-Revelation-Lynn-Picknett/dp/0552143308 http://www.nationalgeographic.com/lostgospel/?fs=www9.nationalgeographic.com http://www.nationalgeographic.com/lostgospel/

Sorry it took so long for me to respond. I do not get to my comp too often. I think this world has been lied to. I believe that as soon as humans found the desire of ruling (or being like god) they lied and cheated from the beginning. Will we ever know the truth? Would you be very surprised at finding out that you have been mislead? I would not. I myself have tried several different religions and found that wicca is closer to my spirituality than anything so far. Personally, I think all religion is connected. If you put them all together and mixed them in, they would produce the best dough for baking. (Or pancakes if on an open flame.)

that is all so true.i too think that all religions are connected in one way or the other.but what i find very intresting is that religious doctrines themselves can tell us so much about our history.for example if you look closely at the hinduism vedas you will see that they are closely connected to the ancient iranian religion as well as the parsee religion.it only makes sense that the oldest religion, being hinduism[in my opinion, more than 7000 years] would have contributed to the birth of the other religions as well.whats more religion could tell us also about the way that varios people interacted with one other. but when we come to christianity, there are just too many questions that keep popping up from time to time like the gospel of judas. i have to say that in my opinion, the vatican is certainly involved in a cover up for more than 2000 years.anyway as religions go,i do not think that any of them give the absolute truth to thier followers, which is really sad.but it is also intresting in a way that now we all can set out on our quest to "uncover the truth".hope we all get there soon.thanks for your response which by the way is really great!thnks!
