Star Ratings

Whoaaa!!! On time I had a 4 then it soared down to 2 and it with utmost difficulty after quite a long time soared up to 7 and that was as of yesterday. When I opened myLot this morning, I was dismayed to see it 5. I have no intention at all to hurt people with my posts. What I say are all in the Holy Bible. Truth hurts but the truth will set you free. People may hate me (even to the extent of giving me negative rating even if my post is not about religion:) as I notice that some are following me just for that - it's ok), but I hope in the end, many will benefit from my posts. I need money very badly but I don't care so much about my earnings here now because I see that there are so many people here who do not know about God who will all men to be saved and to come into a full knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4).
I hope that with my posts, people would learn about God and the Holy Bible which is the Word of God and the truth. May God bless all of us.

Well you have five(5) now. I really do not care about the stars. This site is open to all topic and it really stinks that some one will lose respect(for lack of a better word.) when someone post a topic that some doesn't like should not mean the destruction of all your stars, but it seems that is the way things go. Heck I do not have any stars. Or at least they do not show up on my computer.

You don't "get your star" until you've posted 100 responses. LOL I was feeling really badly, like I was doing something wrong because everyone else had stars and I didn't. What was funny was we were discussing stars in one discussion and I posted something to that effect. I was at 99 posts without knowing - when my response went on that exact post I had my star. Just keep responding, your almost there.

I just would like to take this opportunity here to extend my appreciation to those who posted their response whom I have given positive ratings. Since I started the discussion entitled Generosity, I have been giving positive ratings to all those who respond to discussions I have started and other discussions which really deserve to be rated positively.
Thank you very much also for the encouragement I receive to post things about God and the Holy Bible. May God bless all of us.

whoa, very erratic star you got! :)
anyway, don't lose heart, 5 is still a lot better than the 2 you had before. i like the discussions about the bible, especially if it's of open-minded people.

A number of people have been saying that their star rankings have gone down. I think Mylot has been adjusting their algorithm or the discussions they're giving points to or something. It seems like it's happening to too many people to just be caused by users giving the - ranking.

i deserve a 10 rating.....n i will mark this discussion +.....as i find this material very good........n truth cann't be hidden for long..n ur doin a fine job by posting truth......

I've only been on mylot for a few days so I honestly don't know exactly how this works but from posts I've read this is normal, up one day and down the next. There is no doubt your posts are somewhat contriversial so you may "step on toes" from time to time. I wouldn't let it concern me and would just keep doing what you are doing. I agree, there are many here who need your teaching but we both know Satan will do all he can to put a stop to that. Bless you dear.

hello. well, 6 months ago when i started to become a member here, there were no star ratings at all. and i had been used to that layout. no stars and i am all fine.
well, i do have a 9 and i am happy about it. but like you, i don't mind much about the star ratings. but i honestly can say that somehow, it helps us work harder to keep the ratings higher.
well i have seen others who are just new here who already reach the number 10. and i am an old member here and i only get a 9. but well, that's life. i am not as good as them and i admire them.

well, life's like that. we all try and want the blue star (which is number 10) but we can't all have the 10 star. so, let's just be here for fun. star ratings hurt us a bit especially when it goes down and makes us happier when it comes up! well, let's not mind much about our stars, huh? let's just keep doing what we are fond of doing which is.. discussing issues and matters in life!

well, i don't really care so much about my star though... i've been here for quite sometime and i see people with smaller number gets better star rating than me... i don't care... as long as i am doing the right thing, that is all that matters... and i really admire your courage and determination to spread the Gospel here... keep on doing that... you make me ashamed as i am a Christian as well and i'm not doing what you are doing... may God Bless You...

Hey its good to spread gods word, the ratings dont matter there, if gods word can touch some one in need today then thats all that matters, mylot is a big growing community, we share our life our feelings our belief here and there is no harm in that, as long as we dont hurt anyone

It also happen to me for my ratings before is 9 and it down now to 8 and I dont know why. I also like some of your discussion and I agree that you just get it from the bible and you just want to evangelize just continue what you are doing and neglect those people as long as you know that you are doing is right.

Go on posting and preach the Word! Nobody can kill you here unlike those many who have been killed for preaching the truth such as the apostles and those who succeeded them. It's good nowadays that we have forums such as this where servants of God may use to inform many people about God, no much expenses for transportation fares and no time wasted for that. The expenses here are just for the maintenance of the computer, ISP, electricity, etc. which are not so much compared to leaving the house going somewhere just to teach the Word of God.

Well don't have a clue how the star ratings work myself but haven't been overly concerned over them. Had one for awhile and now nothing. Don't know why it disappeared but it has.. I wouldn't be overly concerned as long as you feel you've done your part here.

well, I think we are many who like your discussions very much, so keep going.
5 stars is still good and better than 1,2,3 or 4. I also wanted to say that I always rate discussions positivly (with +). I haven't given any one a (-)yet and I hope I will never do it.
Why make the others sad or angry when we can make them happy? many seems feel happy when they hurt the others.

Me too,I have a star rating of 8 and it went to red 9 star.I am happy for you and I am happy for everyone too.It's alright that you preach in hear so that they may know or if they accept it or not at least you let them know the truth about God.

at the beginning i hade four (4) , the i had five (5) and then it raised up to (6)
I hope it will raise up to ten (10) because i heard that mylot pays more if you have a big rating

Go on ahead. Post Bible verses for the information of the many here who have not heard about God. Never mind the ratings for God will give you better reward. Praise the Lord!

I have observed that the ratings affect our earnings. I have heard some who have the same observation. There is even a day that I got zero earning when I have posted some and my posts are not short and could not be considered as not having quality because I do not post nonsense at all nor one-liner or just few words. Anyway, what matters now to me is that I can post about the Word of God.
And since I have started the discussion entitled Generosity, I have been giving positive ratings to those who respond to my discussions and to those who really deserve having positive ratings.
