What do you think of Bare Minerals? Have you ever used it and did it do what you expected it too? How much did you pay for yours and where did you go to get it? Do you prefer BM over other products or is there another out there you prefer?

I love BM and will not use anything else. I get mine from E-bay, because I find it a little cheaper. I have combination skin on my face and Psoriasis and I can say it does help me that I can get hot, but I do not shine like I use to. It does not totally cover the psoriasis, but it does bring the red down alot. I do not find I have been having as much break outs with it since I have started using it as compared to liquid foundation.

I have never used bare minerals but I`ve heard people talk about it before. are you using it? what can you tell me about it? I don`t know much about it. just what I heard. all I heard was that it covers up your imperfections.

Well, when I used it I was having a flair up with my rocesia and it covered it pretty well. It has a lot of different minerals in it that adds a healthy look to your face and does not leave a caked on makeup look or feel. It is a powder that can last 6 months or longer depending on how you use it. They say you can swim in it and I did not believe them, but I had. You can even sleep in it and it won't break you out.

Bare Minerals is a makeup product you put on your face. It is made of real minerals that are not supposed to irratate your face.

I use Bare Minerals. First I have to say I don't wear make up every day and I leave the house quite often without make up on. Basically I'm comfortable with or without it. I like Bare Minerals. It didn't give me the cover I had hoped for under my eyes (black circles). For the most part though it looks nice and smooths everything out evenly. I paid $60ish for 4 small containers. 1 pre powder lotion. 2 shades of mineral foundation. 1 powder blush. 1 finishing powder. and 3 brushes (Starter Kit) I bought them from Sephora.com It's lasted a long time and I would buy it again. I prefer it to liquid foundation. Although I am thinking of trying a tinted moisturizer just because Ilike to try new things. I have to debate about it for awhile first!

I had tried it a year and half ago and bought it in a kit. Yours sound better; all I got was the base the mineral veil, one brush and a movie for 60 bucks. I guess they have changed it up a bit. I never used the pre-lotion, but they say it works better if you do.

I've been doing some research on Bare Minerals lately to see if it's right for me. I keep hearing how wonderful it is. Like Leeza, I can go out the house without makeup and be fine. I actually have pretty good skin because I believe in taking good care of it so that I don't have to wear a lot of makeup, but one thing that bothers me is shine. Also, for important parties, it's nice to have the illusion of naturally flawless skin, and I hear that's what this product delivers. I'm apprehensive though because 1) I heard through the grapevine that it contains a product that might irritate my skin, depending on if I'm allergic to it, 2) If I purchase it from the site, they want to automatically enroll me into their club, and I seriously don't want that. So, in the event that I do purchase some just to try it out, I guess I'll be buying from Sephora or Ebay. I hate heavy makeup, and I can't stand foundation because it makes us African-American women look cakey 8x out of 10. For a while, I was just using a tinted oil-free moisturizer from Neutrogena, which works well, but I'm interested in trying something new now. I just don't want complicated makeup, you know?

I have heard so much about it but I haven't tried it before. I am not into the powders on my face anymore. So, I guess that's why I don't want to try it.

I have heard of it but havent yet tried it, I would like to though. I use most natural products that contain no chemicals and arent harsh on the skin such as soaps, shampoos and consitioners, skin cream etc, I tend to make my own and sell some also so i have bought a couple of samples but like i said i havent gotten around to using them! For me though anything natural has got to be better then chemical filled stuff they give us to put on our skin ;)

I love the brand. I tried it when I was in the states and I had to go back and buy everything in full size (I put up an article about my experience with Bare Escentuals: http://www.helium.com/tm/... . It just feels super light on skin and it doesn't irritate skin in any sense. It turns the makeup into a sophisticated look instead of here and there and being all cakey. I now prefer this brand over other makeup brands because it does make me feel better. I get my own stuff at their counter and sephora, I think the selection is great too!

I was always very skeptical of bare minerals. I was addicted to Estee Lauder foundation for most of my life, and I never had any intentions of switching. My mom, on the other hand, decided to try Bare Minerals over a year ago because she was looking for something easy and light because she doesn't wear much makeup at all. She was also interested in the product being good for her skin because she's become more and more concious of that now that she's in her 50s. She bought the starter pack and she is completely in love with it. It gives her the coverage she wants and she doesn't know what she'd do without it. My mom isn't into eyeshadow as much as I am (I LOVE the stuff) so she gave me the two she got with her starter pack. I tried them and adored them. They go on VERY smooth and give you great color without using much product. They last forever and never crease for me. In the past year I have replaced all of my usual colors with bare minerals colors instead (12 colors), and I'm sure my collection isn't done growing! I've used the foundation powder on a couple of occasions, and I'm considering switching to that and their concealer since I've stopped wearing liquid foundation in the past year, but I'm going to go to sephora to have them demonstrate it before I buy. I would highly recommend going to your nearest Sephora (www.sephora.com) before you buy and they will demonstrate bare minerals and help you figure out if it's for you. They have the same prices at Sephora that you will find online and it definitely isn't cheap ($25 for foundation, $13 per eyeshadow, products are cheaper in combination packs) but they are definitely worth the money. Try it out and see what you think! PS -- I've heard that Arbonne has similar products, and I know some women who swear by them. You may want to check those out as well, but I think they are more expensive ($34 foundation, no mineral blush or eyeshadow products in powder form... www.arbonne.com)
