Shaving

How does one shave in her nether region? I just tried it and now I am in misery. I did it hoping it would feel better than the other way and now...well I don't know what to think. How do you continue to shave down there and with what? What can I put on it to make it make the bumps go away and the itches? The only reason I did it in the first place is because I show too much and it gets caught all of them time. I know TMI, but it is true.

Try some moisturizer for the bumps and the itching. Sometimes this helps. I usually find it easiest to do in the shower by raising a leg and doing that side first. I'm sure I look very funny when I do this but thankfully no one will ever see, lol. Good luck and if you don't like it, don't worry it will grow back and maybe you could just try trimming it next time.

While shaving, sit (or lie if someone else is doing the shaving) with your legs far apart. This helps keep the skin taut and lessens the chance of the blade snagging a fold of skin. If you have teeny little nicks or blood spots, there are a couple reasons why this might be happening. The most common reason is you're going to fast. Either you're shaving too quickly, or you're not allowing enough prep time. Remember: -Soak the area for at least three minutes in warm water. - -If you're not going to take a shower or bath, lay a warm wet washcloth over the area for a while first. -Apply shaving gel and let it sit for at least four minutes. -Take your time shaving. blood spots are often the result of shaving over tiny bumps that are naturally there. Soaking and leaving the gel on helps make these bumps softer and smaller so that they're less likely to get nicked. The bumps also may be a result of irritation from a past shave. If this is the case, stop and wait a while before the next shave. When you first start shaving, or if irritation or itchiness is a problem, wear loose underwear and clothing. Always remember to keep clean. Your genital hair helped protect from dirt, bacteria, friction and so on, so it's important to take care of yourself. Use soap and water on your outside bits -- your inside parts will keep themselves clean naturally. Back to the Top Shaving Your Head I don't shave my head. I have it buzzed with clippers sans guard, but do not shave bald with a razor, though I've thought about it. I do have friends who've gone bald, and I think it's pretty neat! Essentially the tips are the same as above, and here are a few specific to head hair. If you're starting with a full head of hair, it will be necessary to start by buzzing your hair with clippers before you get to the actual shaving. Don't dry shave. Follow the same tips for soaking and shaving gel. Use a mirror, unless you don't mind looking a bit patchy. Unlike most of the rest of your body, you can't see your head to shave it. Use touch. Use your fingers to feel for stubble and parts you've missed. Direction doesn't matter -- it's very much a personal thing. Use what works best for you. Although for most of the body, the kind of electric razor recommended has the blades behind a perforated foil, for your head you may choose to use a rotary type. This is because the head is a very curved surface. However, regular razors will work too. How often you shave your head is up to you. I've known folks who do it every day, and others who do it every once a week, ten days or only once a month. It depends on what level of growth you like best. Back to the Top Quick Tips for Experienced Shavers Sometimes I just don't have time to devote to shaving, or find myself in situations without a leisurely hot shower or the other accoutrements of shaving, such as camping. I've discovered some tricks and tips for such times. I don't recommend that anyone new to shaving try these; your skin will be more sensitive if it's not used to being razored and exposed, and your skills in the department may still need some work. I have been shaving quite frequently for years and when I'm not careful, I get nicks and razor burn and bumps and all that not-fun stuff, so shave recklessly at your own risk. : I've also learned some tricks to get a closer shave or otherwise improve my shaving experience. Once an area is used to shaving, instead of shaving gel/foam/cream, you can use a thin layer of petroleum jelly or Vaseline instead to get a very close shave. The only drawback to this method is washing all of the petroleum jelly off afterwards (at least for me, I hate that feeling). If you haven't got much time or access to a shower or are out of shaving gel, but really need to get rid of that hair, lotion may be your savior. It is best to use a very gentle, natural lotion, such as Udderly Smooth Udder Cream -- lanolin-based and with as few ingredients, scents, colors and extras as possible. Slather a thin layer of lotion on the area you wish to shave -- don't rub it in. Let it sit for a few minutes to soften up the hair, then shave, using a disposable razor. If you need to go over an area again, apply more lotion. Don't dry shave! Rinse or clean your razor after every stroke. If you're short on water, you can pour some into a small container and swish your razor around in it to get it clean, and use the same water until you're done shaving. When you're done, use a washcloth to wipe off the area you shaved, removing excess lotion and any little hairs. You'll find your skin is very smooth and moisturized. I sometimes use this method even when I do have time, simply because I like the results.

i just use soap and a disposable razor. I always make sure I have a brand new razor. I put a lot of soap on and then bend my knees a little and just start shaving. I have never cut myself. I guess I am just lucky. I have never done anything about the bumps and itches. I just eventually got used to them because the benefits far outweigh them I just love the feeling of being shaved. I totally prefer shaved to no shaved.

From a man's point of view, I prefer the woman to be shaved. I like oral stimulation and it is better when she is shaved, but at the same time there is a reason why you have hair there. Nicely trimmed would be a nice compromise.

I use to be an Adult entertainer, there is a trick to shaving there without bumbs, I learned this from other dancers and it works. DO not use shaving cream or soap. Use your hair conditioner and you won't get razor burn or razor bumps. It will be smooth like a babies butt.Hope this helps.

The first thing I would do is cut off any big patches of hair. It's extremely hard to try and shave when you have spots that have a lot of hair. Next I would soak in the tub and allow that area to soften. It will make shaving much more easier. The first time you do it, it's going to take time. Go slow and be very careful! I personally just use soap and a plain disposable razor. It gets a lot easier to shave there once you've started. Be careful that you don't get soap/shaving product in that area because it can cause irritation.

I use an Intuition razor. The one with that lathers itself when it gets wet. It's a really off looking thing but it works great. If the hair is long trim it first with an ellctric razor. I use vaseline after I shave and the bumps and itches aren't too bad.

I use Nair with aloe vera in it. I'm sensative too, so I know how you feel. I don't even mess the razor, because of the after effect.

ok. first of all, if you use shaving cream, you shouldn't. because shaving cream sucks. use conditioner and a lot of it. after you're all done, it may sound weird, but put deodorant on it, (the outside of course) and do it the next day as well, and that should prevent the bumps from coming up...if that doesn't work.....try waxing i guess. :)

i have a battery powered razor and have had no problems for about 10 years now. I used to shave in the shower with a strategically placed mirroe, but no more, now i just get my buzzer down there and buzz and fuzz away. I also have a friend who swears by cream, again no problem unless you get a reaction. blessed be and happy shaving

Yes, Try moistureizer. (I know I spelled that wrong but I do not know the proper spelling, Sorry.) I shave myself there while in the bathtub. I can't do it dry. I have to have some water and shaving cream works best for me.

it is a bit difficult, but can be done with practice and patience. use the razor designed for women. apply some baby oil or cream after shaving. it will itch for some time, but will get ok once you are used to it. and don't ever use hair remover. it may be allergic.

try waxing the side areas and trimming the rest , if you do razor some bits then make sure you use a new sharp(ish)razor and use a shaving gel.if you shave it close enough and apply cool cream after the itching should stop.

Only did it once. It was too windy in my nether regions and I couldn't stand it. And it was rather itchy and I had those little bumpy things also. Don't worry, it grows back, and my wife assures me it gets easier each time you do it (coz your area is better prepared then I guess). Don't be upset with yourself. It will all pass over.
