Are free websites really free?

I don't think they are. I have had three so far. They look really cool and inviting. The person I got the web from said I will make lots of money. What he did not say was that I would make lots of money if I had lots of traffic to my site. Traffic don't come free. Guess who I was suppose to buy my traffic program from. The very person I got the free website. So, it really isn't free. I don't remember how much the traffic program was but it was too much for me! Have you had a website that was productive and absolutely free?

there are websites that are really free, as what they claim to be. But there are also websites that say its free but later on they charge you for whatever that was. So you better be careful in chosing one. I've seen few websites that are really for free as i have friends that can attest to that, but i have not really joined one.
