This sentence is a lie!

This sentence is a lie. But how? It cannot be a lie as this would mean that it is the truth and it clearly says it is a lie. It cannot be true as it says it is a lie. Can you prove this sentence to be true or false? I know there has to be a way, I just don't know the angle too look at it from.

Actually this is impossible its called a paradox because its own logic proves it to be impossible. For example a sphynix said to a man that he could say one thing, if what he said was true his he would be strangled(tough luck but the sphynix was mad), if what he said was false his head would be cut off. The man stated that his head would be cut off. This resulted in a paradox because if his head was cut off it would have to be from lieing but that would render it true and vice versa. He was therefore allowed to live. Thats a paradox for you.
