Yes I do check their profiles first prior to adding them as friends. I guess I only have fe friends. Best to really check their profiles and see how fast they make discussions and compare it to the discussions that they've responded to as this way we will be able to see what kind of activity they do: post to discussions or start too many discussions.

yes i do check the profiles when i add anyone as a friend, else you will end up with people spamming in your message box.

Not really, that is the speciality of this site. Most people who are my friends are those with whom I have had many discussions and posts, so it is not necessary to scrutinize their profile before I add them. The discussions I had gives me a real idea about them.

I don't bother to view profiles before accepting, I guess they've just viewed me before they do make the request, if do they want me to be their friends.. same here.

i view the profiles before adding/accepting any friend. and that the proper way, i think so.
