Recently there is much ado about the climate that is getting warmer. Politicians have their mouth full of Kyoto norms, global warming and the environment. Do you also think that humans are responsable for the warming-up, or is it a natural phenomenon? And what could we do about it, taken that there is something that can be done ?

The earth has taken care of itself for million of years, and will continue to for millions of years. We may contribute to the raising the temp a little, but where are the global warming phycso's now that the country is caught is the coldest grip in years. . Its all a big sham to get the scientist regonized, to sell their books, and to get on tv. . At one time in history the Earth was hit by a meteor which cause the dust to blanket the earth's atmosphere and cause it to plummit into winter for many years, yet the Earth is still here. The Earth will adjust and us with it. If not, then I guess the next time we evolve it will be form the raoches.....nothing kills them

A much larger percentage of global warming is attributable to humans. There are just people who are aware of it, but are not mindful enough on the harm it will do to our next generations.

A television meteorologist claims global warming and the effects of green house gasses are totally blown out of proportion by money grubbing researchers. "Global warming is a fictional occurrence made up by scientists and ecologists to line their pockets with billions of dollars in grants". Claims ABC weatherman James Spann, "the weather and climate are a natural progression of Earth's cycles". This statement was in response to a blog titled, "Junk controversy, not junk science", by a Weather Channel scientist. Heidi Cullen, challenging meteorologist who believe accelerated planet wide warming is the result of cycilical not human created effects. isnt this funny ?

Yes, I do think it is human's fault for the state of our planet. We have used and used the resources and still want more. We make things disposable instead of built to last for the all mighty dollar. We have poisoned the air because we are too lazy to put forth the effort to find cleaner ways or it would cost more to be cleaner. Oil rigs spill in the ocean and kill animal life. Factories make clouds that do not belong in the sky and cars burn oil that creates a storm cloud behind them as they drive away. What can we do? Educate! Accept our faults as a problem. And strive to mend our ways.

Last week's conference of the International Panel on Climate Chane (IPCC) in Paris established that global warming was indeed caused by human activities, and more specifically by the emission of greenhouse gases. The air and ocean temperatures are steadily rising worldwide, and the average sea level too. The future looks quite grim if nothing is done about it. If you're interested, this week's issue of Scientific American has a new article about this.
