Yahoo messenger has a lot of features that make it good.. It have phone calls..emails...everything need to be in contact..
orkut is just a community...it cannot be used to contact anyone outside that...but in yahoo you can call your home, send sms to those even not using yahoo..

of course,yahoo messanger its is much faster than orkut and have number of option..whereelse orkut don't have any privacy and there is alot different between yahoo messanger and orkut.yahoo messenger is chat client and orkut is website friend community website.i use orkut sometimes just for fun.
