is this risky to give credit card numbers on internet ?

as i heard till now,that many sites,need credit card nomber,especially the adults,so is this really risky ? can they withdraw all your money anytime against your will,is there anyway to stop if someone has given number on internet,maybe someone could make harm ?

See it all depends where you give..there are legitimate sites which dont do anything without your consent...and there are other sites which are insecure or scam sites from where your information can be stolen...n its very important....there is one cvv number its a 3 digit number on the other side after the 16 digit card number, make sure that, that number is well kept. Don't share that number. one wise thing would be to use paypal or other e-currencies where ever available. using cards in alt site can be risky, mainly because your information may be stolen.
