I don't really think that someone can say that one is more faithful then the other. It all comes down to the person. If if I go from my own past experiences, then more men are cheaters. If I go from who I hear cheats more, then it's men again. But I still think it depends on the person. To cheat on someone is a terrible thing. If someone wants ot cheat, they should break up with the person they are with first.

In my opinion mr_nerd, gender does not really take account into fidelity these days. Maybe a century ago, yes, when civilised society was highly patriarchal. But today, when both genders are given equal opportunities and, therefore, experience the same pressures of social stigma, both male and female have the same tendencies to be unfaithful. This view, however, is not shared by most since men are notoriously known to be less faithful than women, add to that the hype about it being portrayed in media. Bottom line is, we really can't say. It all boils down to statistics and culture. Its a matter of choice, really. A man can be faithful if he chooses, and so can a woman.

Is it a matter of choice? Then why to start a relationship? Then there wont be any value for relationship in future.... dont you think so?

I'm inclined to think that being in a relationship is a choice, for whatever reason you may have for it (this applies to plutonic relationships as well). The future of a relationship depends on what you invest in it that will make it last. That is where trust and fidelity comes in. A partner invests his/her trust and the other nurtures that trust by being faithful, among other things of course. However, if both parties agree on not counting exclusivity as a basis for their relationship, then its ok. What matters is that both talk about what their expectations are in that relationship. Otherwise, if one falls behind on that expectation there is no ground to hold on to.

Well...Hello Mr_nerd... Actully I think Women are more faithful than man, even science also agree to this fact... You know the reproduction capacity in men is infinite...A man can fertilize atleast 5 to 10 women a day...But a women can only give birth only once in a year...that displays the result... Also Women, if the love their man really, then they will die before being Unfaithful..It all depends howmuch your women loves you!!!!!

Hi vkbllm, Thanks for your reply. But i will not agree your proof. You cant say because of the pregnancy women are more faithful as you know there are so many ways to prevent that to happen and girls are not behind these days too. They too know how to protect themselves so i will not agree with your proof. It also depends howmuch your woman loves and also how much your husband loves you.

women are just as unfaithful as men, men just seem to be a little dumber and get caught or have to clear their conscious and tell somebody. if the other person doesn't find out on their own, why tell?

I don't think that faithfulness has anything to do with what gender you are. I know just as many girls as I do guys that are just as unfaithful to their boy/girlfriends.
