I love to cook.As long as I have the right stuff to cook with. I hate the prices of everything now a days.Almost to high to spend on alot of stuff for just one meal.So I keep everything really basic.Does any one feel this way?

Yes, I feel like you. Everything is going up, and it is harder and harder to survive on salaries. I make more pasta cassaroles with chicken in it, to cut back a little. Or rice and chicken, veggis' and chicken. I cut the best I can. Good luck, it's hard.

I have noticed that the price of alot of the foods we used to eat has gone up. Meat is outrageous so we have been eating alot of chicken. There are a ton great chicken recipes though so we do not get tired of it. My fave is chicken shredded up and used in tacos.

Yes, I understand you. And I also feel sad that everything just have to become expensive. So I try to buy commodities like tomato sauce, pastas, or oil in volume at discounted prices. Like I could store them for 2 months or so. So that it's only the fresh ingredients I have to buy twice a week. I take chances of promotions too, but I never ignore to notice the production dates, it's very important. I guess, we have to be smarter to meet ends with our means.

Yes, I like chicken, but i eat chicken only twice a month, as I am supposed to reduce my weight. I stick to a vegetarian diet on the other days. With chicken, I eat a lot of other food stuff, so I gain weight. I too like to cook minimally for myself, and prefer salads.

i have noticed i tend to lean more toward chicken myself. especially in the heat of the summer. chicken just feels so much lighter on the stomache. and the prices of groceries have gone sky high, so i generally don't go all out on a meal. but i am lucky. i have a family of basic eaters. they don't like anything extraordinary.
