dog epilepsy

OK so i have epilepsy and know the whole experience and it is very terrifying. you lose complete control of your body and are concious of this...unless you pass out. my last sezier was in 7th grade when that put me on medication. my dog to has epilepsy and has on average 1-3 seziers a month. i sometimes worry about how my dog feels when he is tweaking out. but then i remembered that dogs dont think as we do and wondered if he could even comprehend what is going on. maybe he just thinks its natural. does anyone else have any similar problems with their pets where there is almost nothing that you can do for them?
