Yes, army service is a MUST here. There are some people that don't serv because of some reasons. I'm recruting to the IDF this year in 22.07, and I will be a combat soldier.

Yes they do have to do it once they turn 18 .... it is compulsory and necessary for the nation of Israel to survive. Men to 3 years, women do 2 years although both can extend to do further service if they want .... some people are exempt on religious and medical/psychological grounds from doing any military service in the Israel Defence Force. Lots of countries still have compulsory military service, or training, not just Israel.

I dont know, I think you should ask the people of Israel. You should go to the users by location and search the country Israel and ask the people over there. They must have the idea.

Well, I do not know that for sure. But, considering how it is down there now, I believe that could be possible somehow.

Military service is still compulsory for Jewish and Druze men and Jewish women over 18. Exemptions are made for religious, physical or psychological grounds or for those enrolled in Yeshivas. Service is for 3 years for men and two for women. Women who enroll for combat positions serve for full 3 years due to length of training.
