How do you feel about valentine's day?

I'm single too but i will not be lonely on valentine's day. to me it's just like any other day. It's just a made up holliday for stores to make money. You don't need to be told that that day is the day for lovers. you can make a date with someone and tell someone you love them or whatever people do on this day any other day.

When I was a teenager, Valentine's Day was a big deal of an exciting day for me, as my peers were so much into it, too (you know, peer pressure). When I reached my 20's, I didn't feel excitement but only anxiety about this day because I just kept on counting the number of Valentine's Day that had passed, yet no Valentine's Day yet. Now that I'm in my 30's, this day would just come and go. Now that you mentioned it, I instantly said to myself, "Oh, it's valentines's day again on the 14th! My, how time flies!" Take note that there's no concern anymore about the meaning of that day, but the concern is more on time passing.

I'm married for 6 yrs now and so I do have special someone I will celebrate it with. But when I was single, my friends used to invite me for girls' day out so I didn't feel lonely although some of them had dates. Sometimes it's just family thing. I will make some cakes for everyone at home and ice cream. They will comment on my baking skills, but that's the fun part.
