i just learned of this post rating system today and ever since i have been rating every post that i read. here are my guidelines for positive, negative and nuetral ratings(nuetral meaning i just dont rank it.) POSITIVE - the person obviously read what the person had said and thought of a sincear responce (i usually rank every post as positive since most people really do try to help) NEGATIVE - the person was either off topic or not sincear AT ALL. like not even in the slightest interested in the topic and was just posting for the post count. NUETRAL - the person obviously read the person had said but just couldnt think of anything really to help out. (sometimes ill leave a positive rating here to) i havnt had any time where i had to repost a post yet since not much offends me lol. almost nothing will ^-^ so do you rank posts?

Sounds alot like my system, however I do not do the nuetral ones. I rate all with a +, as long as they stick to subject and post more than a word.. I rate all people that reply to my discussions, all the discussions I reply to, and I also always had out a best response after a few days =)

yea i rate one line posts as a + to because lots of the time ill be sitting there and can only give a one line answer. i mean my answer will answer all of their questions clearly but it only equild up to one or two lines. so kudos for that ^-^

I don't think of it, I guess I will from now on. I only give negatives if the post has absolutely nothing to do with topic.

Absolutely. Every response on every discussion I start. When I am responding to someone else's discussion, I usually only rate the first 2 or 3 pages of responses. Positive if they contributed something on topic Negative if they obviously didn't read the topic, respond off topic, give a "me too" or single word answer or just repeat an answer that's been given 10 or 20 times already. Report if they obviously violate the guidelines.

oh i like this one except for one part (and this is just my opinion here) but sometimes a topic can only be anscered a few ways and there will always be the same thing like 10-20 times. other than that i like your system ^-^
