Wheat allergies

I've just found out that both myself and my daughter have wheat allergies. Now that I'm noticing it, I find wheat in SO MANY things. Any advice from anyone on how to navigate thru the grocery store and plan my meals from here on? It seems like almost everything I used to enjoy has some form of wheat.

My children have a ridiculous number of allergies. One of them is to wheat. I suggest that you go to the health food store (if you have one nearby) and look for the Gluten-free aisle. People with Celiac Disease can't have gluten, which is in wheat and similar grain products. So stuff labeled Gluten-free should for sure be safe. I just noticed that this is an old post. I'm new here, sorry. So tell me how it's going for you? Are you feeling better without wheat?

my son and I both are allergic to wheat. Some substitutes for wheat are rice, corn, patatoe, soy, rice flours. It took me awhile to find the rice spagheti noodles and rice flour or anything not containing wheat everytime I found something I made a note of what it was and who made it so it wasnt so hard to find anymore. Less reading.
