I don't think i will change my operating system to windows Vista.I currently use Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 2 and i am quite pleased with it.I don't find any advantage in switching to Vista.Do you?

I tried beta versions of vista but still , changing to vista is almost like changing to linux, i say that the perfect operating system is still windows xp with or without service pack 2, like many others that said , vista hassome compatibility problems and i think that these problems will be solved in a few months , until the we'll have to wait !

Yup, same with me here. I can make the desktop look like Vista with the Vista transformation pack, mind you. And XP SP@ is quite stable and secure if you patch regularly and have anti-malware installed

Since I am happy with my windows xp I will wait until Vista gets all workd out. It is being release with imcompatibility issues and glitches. I am content with my system, it does what I want to do and so until Vista cleans up its act it will not be installed with me. If I buy another computer it will be Vista ready, but not on it.

Well, Vista is a good OS. But I heard it has lots of compatibility problems with it at the moment. So I'd stick with XP for a coupe more months and bolt to Vista once thse issues are resolved. =)

I hope that my laptop that I buy for university will already come with it. My current computer has all the necessary things to make it "Premium Ready", so nothing would need to be upgraded, but the upgrade disk for just the Windows Vista itself is more expensive than I can afford to be spending on the computer that I'll be leaving for four years while I go off to school.
