Double yolked egg is result of unsynchronized production cycles. Although heredity causes some hens to have a higher propensity to lay double-yolked eggs, these occur more frequently as occasional abnormalities in young hens beginning to lay. Most commercial eggs are not fertile, but if they were to be fertile, the presence of the two yolks would generally lead to an unsuccessful hatch. We won't get twins in such case as egg white, which is an important food supply for the embryo is insufficient to nourish two embyros.

yes its really have matter about their foodand dont have enough sufficient nutriets to allow to chicks to survive.but it is possible to carry out caesarianon the egg and keep the chicks alive using special equipment. but it was rare.....

lol sure y not. it makes sence since thats how a regular human baby develops into twins. the cells split to form 2 babys. one time i got an egg and it was all bloody on the inside0.0 i threw everything away and couldnt eat breakfast that day. it was just to disturbing to see all that blood. i also once got an egg that was all green and bloody on the inside. needless to say once again i could not eat. well those are my egg stories lol. oh ya my dad got a double yolker once. about 4 years ago before i moved to maine.
