The advantage of playing music with kids

Play music helps to teach kids discipline and focus. It also gives them the reward of accomplishment. It is possible that learning to read and play music helps the brain function more effectively in other areas of research, particulrly mathematics and languages.

Yep, well, the VH1 Save the Music foundation is all about that...they have always said that music education equals brain power. The studies they quoted show that kids do better at math etc when they are enrolled in music education. I think it's very cool, that something as fun as music can actually help kids do well with their academic studies.
