If you are an atheist, why are u so?

I believe that God exists. I am atheist, which by definition is a person who believes in God as the creator who at once transcends and is yet present in the world. The definition of atheism is denial of God's existance. I'm curious to know the reasons for one being an atheist. I'd like to know from the atheists why they are so.
