How many hours can you sleep in a day?

It seems to be funny to myself that there was a time when i used to sleep 15-18 hours a day. At that time i had lot more studies which used to create pressure to me and to minimise the pressure i used to opt for sleeping than taking any other fruitful decision. But now i only sleep the required hours i.e 6 hours. and that seems to be more than enough. This is because i am employed today and i am happy to maintain a regularised duty in my office and all the day through. So how long do u sleep in a day and Why??? share your moments i n this this issue of lengthy sleeping. I am waiting for your reply......

I usually get about 5 hours of sleep because I enjoy staying up late, nad enjoying the quiet after my family has gone to bed. I need to get up in the morning and get my daughter off to school, and then get started on my work (i work at home), and in between that I also need to do the household chores. But on the weekends when my husband takes care of my daughter I can easily sleep for 10 to 12 hours. I am not sure if it is my body making up for sleep or what but I have no trouble sleeping the day away if I have nothing to do.
