Lets take a break... dont think too much lets start you have found a nice shirt in a department store...it cost 97 pesos (Php97.00)...you dont have any money so you borrow 50 pesos (Php50.00) from your mom and 50 pesos (Php)50.00) from your dad...(50+50=100) you went to the department store to get the shirt,so how much is your change?(ans:3:00)then you returned 1 peso to your mom ...how much left?(ans:Php49.00) then you returned 1 peso to your dad...how much left? (ans:Php49.00) you have the other peso...OK? this is the problem...49+49 (ans:98) + the peso you have? (ans:99 correct?) this is my question... where did the peso go??? try to solve...but dont overdo it Have a nice day!

No, no, no. When you bought the shirt, you only had 3 pesos left. You returned 1 peso to your mom so you still owe her 49 pesos. Then you returned another 1 peso to your dad and so you still owe him 49 pesos. You have one peso left. That's it. You've got the missing piso.

i ate it! haha you don't need to add the other 1 peso because the 98 is what you still owe them. it's just to complicate things i guess. hehehe you still have the other peso though you can give it to one of them so you will only owe one of them 48 and the other one 49 since you've already given back them the change. the 49+49 just complicates it. hehe because in reality if you have to add your peso it should just be subtracted to the 98 and not added to it. because the 98 is your debt to your parents.

haha interesting.. act one - Borrow - borrow from dad : 50 borrow from mom : 50 total debt: 100 total money in hand : 100 ---------------------------------- act two: - by the shirt - total money in hand : 100 expense : 97 money left in hand: 100 - 97 = 3 ----------------------------------- act three : - return debt - return to dad : 1 return to mom : 1 total returned : 2 total debt unpaid : 100 - 2 = 98 money left in hand : 3 - 2 = 1 so now we see we have Php98 unpaid and we only have Php1 left now what you do is adding a debt to your money 98 + 1 = 99 its totally wrong.. what you should do is deduct the debt with the money in hand, because debt has a minus value to our cash -98 + 1 = -97
