What do you think of David Beckham's move to play soccer in America and how will the move benefit his career considering that soccer is not really big in America?

I dont think this would help his career or the popularity of football in america. Of course as a celebrity he would gain more fans.

Gaining more fans also depends on the number of people that are into soccer as a sport, remember, he is going to America

I think his career is finished: I like Americans but their level in soccer is not very high... by dint of playing there, he will loose his status and I think national coach will not select him

Would the focus not be more on him being this celebrity and as a result lose focus on his talent and ability? The move might to a certain extent create some hype about soccer in the U.S. I just don't believe that it will revive him as a great soccer player. He will probably be model for the fashion industry, or perhaps try it out on in Holywood.

I think the move by David is the beginning or a retirement from football and the begining of some other career within America, possibly acting, but with regards to football then I think America will benefit from having David there. It will enhance the game over there. Good luck to him. I think it was the worst move mcLaren made by dropping him from the England setup and as usual England looked for someone to blame due to their exit from the world cup. Its no wonder he has turned his back on a possible move back to the premiership.
