openness to overprotective parents...dialogue between parent and child...

When you were young did you have any chance to talk to your parents of their overprotectve attitude? Who approached first you or your parent?How do you approach them? Do they explain why are they being overprotective? Are they still over protective?..............my parents where never over protective of me maybe because im a guy...but as to my sisters they are...

no but I did sneak around a lot I guess sometimes you wish you had the back bone or they had asked

I have never gotten a chance to lay it all out to my parents because they are never willing to let me say it like it is. It is always what they think and nothing about what I think at all.
