Where are those ads?

Has anyone ever had ads from trusted companies erased from e-mail? Over the past few days, I've received ads from several companies with which I've done business, but there was nothing there to read. I tried forwarding one to someone and the print part of it showed up but nothing else. Stranger still, some of the ads I already had and was saving for future reference are blank now. What could be causing this?
