I don't think a ban is a good idea. Public education on cell phone manners might be better. There are a lot of people that just don't have manners. If they did they would use them when on their cell phone.

speaking can't be banned as mobiles would lose the main purpose for which they were made. but a ban on using mobiles during driving is a must.

I can understand your points and the frustraionn but some people need a cell for business or family emergencies-it does irk me when people act crazy and talk way too loud, if someone calls me, I will leave the room or the store, and talk in a lower voice and tell them to call me later, or I will call them back~
