I'm pretty excited to see the Buffy story continue, as I think it's my favorite show...ever. While I would have perfered TV, I already read comics pretty regularly, so I'm comfortable with that format. How do you feel about it?

I'm definitely excited for it to come out. I read the Firefly comics that took place between the TV show, and the movie, and they were amazing, so I'm sure this will be even better. Especially since Joss is connected to it. Everything he is connected to is genius (except for Wonder Woman, apparently...)

I haven't hear much on the WonderWoman front, but the Firefly comics were pretty good. I'm also enjoying Joss's Astonishing X-men.

Ah...Well, I suppose it's just as well. I know he has this other movie in the works "Goners" or at least did at one point. That sounded pretty interesting.

it's just that apparently Joss is no longer directing the movie version of Wonder Woman.

I read comics pretty often too, and I'm definitely going to keep an eye out for the Buffy comics. The ending of the 7th season was pretty crappy even if it killed the Hellmouth.

Looks like the comic is set to come out this Wednesday. I'm so excited. I think I'll be making a special trip to the comic shop to pick this one up....I won't be able to wait for my usual weekend trip :-)

You might not get into these but I started reading the "Pick Your Poison" books based on the show. They are books where you pick the course of the story; when you get to the end of a page you are given options as to how the story goes. "If Buffy fights the vampire, turn to page 33. If Buffy helps Xander, turn to page 49" ... that sort of thing. These are in the teen fiction section but when I saw them I grabbed a couple to check them out. I do have some of the comics and was really impressed with them but I am having trouble getting some of the middle issues of the four part releases.

Oh wow! I used to read books like that when I was a kid, in fact I used to devor them, begging my parents to buy me 2 or 3 at a time. They were called "choose your own adventure" books. I LOVED them. I had no idea they had Buffy versions of them. I might have to check them out, at least for nostalgia sake. Thanks for the tip!

I actually hadn't realized that these were going to be coming out. Do you know when they will start? Also, will it pick up where the series left off? I am definately interested in anything Buffy..and Spike!

I think it's coming out soon. Darkhorse comics is putting it out so you can check their website for more info. I think you might even be able to order it through them.

According to a review I read this morning, it's supposed to be quite good. I'm excited to see how it will tie in with the last season of Angel. I was happy with how the show ended, but getting the comic book series is such a great little surprise. I am so excited!

I'm dissapointed it's in comic book form - but my boyfriend reads a lot of comics and has said he will get them me (I've never read a comic before - this could be the start of a new addiction). I was hoping for a season showing all the 'new' slayers.

While a new show would have been nice...A well written comic is a beautiful thing. With Joss and the helm I have high hopes for this! I'll be picking up my copy right after work. I'm looking forward to seeing the old gang :-)

i got a copy. and i found it very enjoyable , but at the same time lacking, since it's only a few pages. not enough to satisfy my need for buffy, like the tv shows used to do. but atleast it's written by josh whedon, which automatically makes it a plus (i so love his work) and it's good to see the gang again in one form or another. big changes people, big changes. i guess making buffy into a comic was the easier way to continue the series. compared to the humongous trouble of making another tv show (i would have still voted for another show). we'll until the next issue... (the introduction of the bad guy was a welcome suprise. still heted that she turned bad.)
