does belly piercing hurt???

My daughter got it done at 15 and it didnt hurt her and she doesnt like pain. As long as you keep it clean it should be ok. Its not too high maintenance. Most of the cost is from buying the rings you want. I tihnk you will enjoy it, so go girl!

oh yes it does...!! i hhad mine in the 8th grade...!! trust me...i do prefer being sliced by a blunt knife...!! (kk i wont really....but just a form a speech...loll) soo plzz dont get it done....or if u want to use some anesthesia ...mayb that might lessen your pain a bit

I know people who have them and said they hurt pretty bad, too. Just make sure that the place you're getting it done at is clean and has gotten good reviews. You'd definitely have to take good care of your piercing, as well.

I don't have my belly button pierced but my daughter does . She said it didn't hurt very much but the needle they use to do it is quite thick . She has never had any problems with it and does not have any problems keeping it clean or anything . She would not consider it high maintenance . My only fear about stuff like this , is that they are showing more and more people getting infected and getting sick from piercings now adays . If you do get it done make sure that whereever you go is a clean place and then make sure to take the time to clean it properly so as to help prevent infection . They say you should not pick at them as this will cause infection easier .

Okay - I'll call myself out as the wierdo now I think. I've pierced mine a total of 4 times. The first and initial which I had to take out when I had surgery, the second my brother did...and the third because the placement was wrong, then I got pregnant and took it out again, pierced it again after my body went back to normal, took it out for my second, and pierced it again after my third...at least I think that's how it went. oh - so, that's five including my brothers screw up. Does it hurt - yep, but not as bad as a tattoo. Choose who pierces it carefully, the more relaxed you are the less it hurts. The last one I had done (through scar tissue even) was very easy because she took time to relax me (breathing and pressure points), and I barely even felt it. They aren't really high maintainance, every piercer gives different instructions on how to care for it, but it's never a lot of work. The worst part is wearing jeans for a week or so after it's pierced because they can catch on the ring. Good luck on getting up the guts to do it - I was like you for my first one, but I was sooo proud after I did it, it was like a high, and I loved and still love my belly ring.

ARE U CRAZY??? it hurts like HELL..!!! i wanted to get it done too...but like u...even im afraid...!! every1 has mixed reviews...!! look at all the responses...they are mixed too...!!! soo if u do work up the courage to get it done....let me know how bad it was too...!! well if u survived that is....!!lolll

I have mine done and it didn't hurt one bit. There was just a bit of pressure, thats all. The two peircings I have in the cartledge of my ear hurts 10,000 times more than getting my belly done.

No it doesn't hurt that much, but having your nipple pierced hurts slightly more, but it's worth having it done as belly button fluff collects around your piercing and not in your belly button!

I got my belly pierced a few years ago... and it hurt really bad. i think the worst part of it is when i it gets stuck on my clothes and pulls at it. i thought i was going to die.

Mine REALLY HURT. It hurt so bad I passed out. When I got home, I could hardly wear any clothes, even a T-shirt touching it was incredibly painful. I laid on the couch with my shirt pulled up and told my dog he'd have to wait a while for a walk. This pain lasted a day or two, and subsided a little bit every day, and work was really tricky... I couldn't sit down, because bending at the waist pushed my clothes against the ring and it REALLY HURT! Seriously, it was at least a month. I SWORE I was going to take it out as soon as it healed. (That was 10 years ago and I still have it) It IS high maintenance when you first get it. You have to keep it VERY CLEAN and you have to spin it, so the skin can heal to itself, and not heal to the ring. Mine was sore for a long time, but I never got infected because I kept it clean. I still have it, but it will have to come out when I get pregnant, as you can not keep a belly ring when you are pregnant. So mine won't be around much longer. I kept it because I paid for it and it was in, but I don't think it's worth the money or the pain!!
