I remember when my older child started school. He was confident, he could read and write. He started school at 5 and went to kindergarten (NSW Australia). His start to school life was a breeze. For him on his first day he held my hand and took me to the front door and said ' its okay mum I will see you at three, your late for work". I walked out of school crying. like most parents my baby was growing up. Now my 6 year old has started school (QLD Australia). He has always been confident and quite full of himself. He has learnt to write his name, alphabet and numbers. This is his second week, and he is still not as comfortable. At times he gets moody with his friends and seems to lack a sense of humour. We are been quite patient with him as everyone developes at different rates. I know its going to get easier cause it is a huge adjustment for the whole household. My 3 year old is going through a growth phase which is a bit painful too. Because the 2 boys used to be together all the time, my 3 year old has decided that he will argue, disobey and be extremely cheeky. I know that this will one day settle itself too as long as I maintain consistency. And of course not to be left out is the 1 year old baby. She misses her brothers. So when they get home she chases after them. But all they want to do is rest. This becomes a very noisey time, but they all eventaully run out of puff until.......Dad gets home. And we start all over again. This is why I ensure healthy living , fresh fruit, meat & vegies. We dont' have junk food, I bake all the biscuits and cakes ( I guess thats junk food) and we swim, go to the beach to surf, go hiking and of course my husband and I do our regular work out. What a life!!!!!!!!!!
