Sick and Tired....

I'm so ready for the cold to be done and over with. I'm usually use to the cold, but the last couple of months have been really cold here. My heater is working overtime and I'm still sitting here shivering and teeth chattering. Sometimes I feel like such a wuss, I lived in Alaska for 5 1/2 years where temperatures would drop down to -40 or -50 degrees and would never see temperatures above 10 degrees in the winter and now can't even stand when it dips down to 8 or 9 degrees. AHHH! But than again living in the desert for 8 or 9 years can change how person feels about the cold as well..lol. Ready for the sun to be shining and temps to get back to 60 or 70. Yes bring on the warmth I say. Anyone else sick of the cold like me?

Well up here in Canada winter hit us late, it only seriously started in like the 2nd week of january. So its gonna take a while for the currents to move which means we got a long winter ahead. The past few days have been real cold around -17 degrees celcius or so. I can't wait for it to be over.

Winter came late here to, but the nights were still pretty cold here. Like I said I feel like such a wuss sometimes..lol I think I got way to use to living in the desert for so many years, that it really thinned out my blood now cold really bothers me since I wasn't around it all the much after moving from Alaska to Nevada.

Ugh I'm sick of the cold too. I hate being cold, there's nothing worse! I hate the month of January as I find it is sooo long, I'm glad it's gone. Now that February is here I can fool myself into believing Spring will be here before we know it.

lol I, like you keep trying to tell myself that soon spring will be on it's way. I know I will survive through the cold I just can't stand it anymore, but guess can't complain to much after all I live in a place that does get cold..haha only way to remedy that is to move back to the desert.

For me , the cold winter has always been enjoyable as it has never been so much cold, the mercury goes as low as 8-10- degree celcius at the bottom end, so, it is rather comfortable. But it is very difficult to tolerate -40 or -50 as you have mentioned.

I live up North too and yes it can get that low here about minus 30 outside. I'm 32 and my husband is 45. If we have kids, our heater bill is going to be phenomenal.
It's disheartening I know, especially after Christmas is over and this white snow keep piling up.

Oh yes the dreaded heating bill, can only imagine what mine is gonna be this month. Most likely pretty expensive even though I have tried to keep myself from turning it up to high.
