I Love Tomyam soup.
Love the spicy and the sour taste.
I've been to Tomyam Kung , they have steamboat tomyam.
Beside Thailand, Malaysia also have Tomyam. Our Tomyam has two different type, one that is similiar to the one tasted in Thailand another taste like curry.

Tom yam can be spicy if done properly. However the worst Tom Yam I had are the ones on Khao San Road in Bangkok where hardly any spice is put in - thus toning down the hotness for us tourists. It then becomes tasteless with out the spices. If you got to say NE Thailand away from the tourists resorts then Tom Yam can be a experience and well worth trying out. If it is too hot and you want the tourist version of the soup, just say "mai pet" meaning no spice.
