Know about Philippines?

When you hear the country "Philippines", what's the first thing that popped in your mind? (Good or Bad impressions or descriptions are accepted.

Philippines is known to be one of the 3rd world country. It is known to have a corrupt government, polluted air(esp Manila), and very poor people. I am a Filipina! Eventhough our country is known for these characteristics...I am still very proud to be a Filipino! I think poor countries have the happiest people. I miss Philippines!!! Thanks!
