Star rating

Ok, I did a brief search, but couldn't find the answer to this one, so maybe someone can tell me. I see a lot of people post about their star rating as being xx of 100. How do you tell what your rating is? I mean I know how to tell on the 1-10 scale that corresponds with your star, but what about on the 1-100 scale? I can't seem to find it anywhere!

All you do is put your cursor over your star and you will see what your rating is. I didn't know either and someone was talking about it and luckily someone else said how to see our own.

Hmm... not working for me... maybe you have to be using IE for it to show? I'm running FireFox right now. I guess I'll have to log in to IE now and then just to see!

Thank you so much for posting this! I just now get it and see what everyone is talking about! I'm glad I found your thread, because I was just getting ready to start a new discussion and hate all the repeated discussions!

I must be sooo oblivious to what goes on around me! Or are you talking about when you point your cursor at your star. If you do that then you can see xx/100. Otherwise I am afraid I can't help. Sorry.

According to myLot, it’s based on an algorithm derived from rating your responses and discussions. I think really, from what I’ve seen of stars and ratings, that it’s quality based somehow. Quantity doesn’t cut it as an answer. There are a few people with low ratings and many more responses than most. There are a lot of theories, from punctuation to mythological preferences of myLot, based on guesswork. I'd say a percentile is a natural mathematical result from an algorithm, but not much of an indicator as how it's calculated.

I don't even have star yet. When do you get a star?

You have to have 100 posts to your credit (the number beside your name)

I Just posted a thing on this I think it has something to do with the color of the star, Not sure but from what I understand from people that have answered my post this is what I get. When I go over my star it gives the percentage out of 100 but the color might have something to do with it. Good Luck
